About Ram Lal Anand College
Ram Lal Anand College came into existence in 1964. It was initially started by Late Shri Ram Lal Anand but was later taken over by the DU. This DU college is situated right next to the Aravali range, which provides a beautiful and scenic background to the college. The college is well-equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, an amphitheatre, a playground, a canteen, etc., and is also well-equipped with Wi-Fi on the campus.
Ram Lal Anand College offers various courses in the arts, sciences, and commerce streams. There are a total of 15 courses, with 14 courses dedicated to the bachelor's degree and one master’s degree. The students also receive a certificate course in heritage and tourism management from Ram Lal Anand College.
Like other DU colleges, Ram Lal Anand College also offers the opportunity to enrol students in activities like the NCC and NSS. Along with the curriculum, RLAC also promotes a healthy dose of co-curricular or extracurricular activities for those students who have an interest in activities other than studies as well. There are various societies that a student can join, such as the drama society, photography society, film society, etc. If the student is only interested in studies, then there are societies that are completely made for certain subjects. There are eco clubs and clubs for women's welfare as well, if the students are more concerned with society and the environment.
In terms of Ram Lal Anand College placement, the college has a career counselling and placement cell called “Pathway”, an equal opportunity cell, and a medical room with a qualified doctor and a professional counsellor who are always ready to help the students in their time of need.
